2nd Annual Sing 4 a Cause - May 3rd 6pm - Clarksdale Christian Church  All money donated is given to the Mosaic Cancer Center Patient Assistance Fund, in Loving Memory of Connie Drowns! We will have a silent auction and a free will offering along with a Home Made Pie Auction that will be sure to be lots of fun! Pies are being donated by some of Clarksdale’s most famous bakers! They will definitely be a hit!!

Surveys - We are mailing out the 3rd request for an income survey. 50% of you have been so helpful and filled it out and returned the survey. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!  But we NEED  85% participation before we can turn it in. It is completely anonymous. Mo-Kan makes City Hall randomly numbered address labels, we number a survey and stuff it into an envelope with a stamped return envelope.  It goes to Mo-Kan. We DO NOT see it, and they don’t have names. Completely anonymous. But SO helpful! Once we get all of them back and determine our status, we can apply for more grants.  Like the $2,500,000 Water project putting in new water lines, and the $456,633 Streets Grant for resurfacing most of our streets. Our previous income survey helped us qualify for those gants. PLEASE help us qualify for more, we know things are not getting cheaper!

Recycling - The price of trash has gone up and the St. Joe landfill, and many may be seeing that on your trash bills.  One way to help is to recycle. Stewartsville recycling center is open Mon. - Saturday, 7am to 7 pm. Maysville is open 24/7. They have bins for paper, cardboard, plastic, glass, cans, etc. PLEASE, NO trash.

The Clarksdale Yard Waste Site - The Yard Waste Site is Only for yard waste! Not for trash, plastic bags, construction debris, anything that has nails or metal in it. Sorry for the inconvenience, but until further notice the yard waste site will be closed due to an abundance of illegal dumping of materials. We are cleaning up the entire site, in order to utilize the space for the upcoming event on June 7th. If you are needing to get rid of any Yard Waste items, please contact Tascha at 660-483-0955 or Zech Hays and we will be happy to discuss alternatives.  Please, do not drive around the fence in order to access the site. We have found numerous nails, spikes and screws. The city will not be held liable for damage.  If you have any questions, contact us.  Thank you for your understanding.
